Mo’s Quest for Equality
Once upon a time, in a society in Arabia, there was a cruel tradition of burying or burning the daughters of women. This injustice troubled a young boy named Mo. He believed that everyone, regardless of gender, should be treated equally. He remembered the words of Allah, who said that all are equal.
Mo decided to speak out against this injustice. He stood before the society’s elders and boldly proclaimed that girls have the right to live and work like men. He urged them to stop the barbaric practice of killing or abandoning girls.
The elders, taken aback by Mo’s audacity, dismissed him as crazy. They argued that women were a financial burden, unable to lead or contribute to society. But Mo was undeterred. He warned them that if they did not stop their inhuman activities and give proper respect to women, he would call upon a powerful magical force called “Gajab.”
Gajab was believed to be a force of nature that could bring calamities like storms, ice, and sleet that could pierce through them. Fearing this threat, the elders agreed to change their ways and gave equal opportunities to women and children.
Mo continued his fight for equality. He believed that one day, people would also be concerned about equity ownership for men and women. He questioned the prejudice that led to killing a child out of fear of financial burden.
Mo vowed to always show proper respect to women and love for children. He hoped that his society would become a place where everyone was treated equally, regardless of gender. And so, Mo’s quest for equality became a beacon of hope for a better future.

এক সময় আরবের একটি সমাজে মেয়ে শিশুদের পুড়িয়ে মারার নিষ্ঠুর প্রথা ছিল। মো নামক একটি অল্পবয়সী ছেলে এই দৃশ্য দেখে বিরক্ত হলো। তার বিশ্বাস লিঙ্গ নির্বিশেষে প্রত্যেকের সাথে সমান আচরণ করা উচিত। তার মনে পড়ল আল্লাহর বাণী, যিনি বলেছেন সবাই সমান।

মো-এর সাহসিকতায় বিস্মিত প্রবীণরা তাকে পাগল বলে উড়িয়ে দিয়েছিলেন। তারা যুক্তি দিয়েছিলেন যে নারীরা একটি আর্থিক বোঝা, সমাজে নেতৃত্ব দিতে বা অবদান রাখতে অক্ষম। কিন্তু মো নিরুৎসাহিত ছিল। তিনি তাদের কে বললেন যদি তাদের মাকে এভাবে মরতে হত শৈশবে তবে তারা কিভাবে জন্ম নিত? তাদের সতর্ক করে দিয়েছিলেন যে তারা যদি তাদের অমানবিক কার্যকলাপ বন্ধ না করে এবং নারীদের যথাযথ সম্মান না দেয় তবে তিনি “গজব” নামক একটি শক্তিশালী জাদু শক্তিকে ডাকবেন।
গজবকে প্রকৃতির একটি শক্তি বলে মনে করা হতো যা ঝড়, বরফ এবং স্লিটের মতো বিপর্যয় আনতে পারে। এই হুমকির ভয়ে প্রবীণরা তাদের পথ পরিবর্তন করতে রাজি হন এবং নারী ও শিশুদের সমান সুযোগ দেন।
মো সমতার জন্য তার লড়াই চালিয়ে যান। তিনি বিশ্বাস করতেন, একদিন নারী ও পুরুষের সমান জমির মালিকানা পাবে। অনেকের মা প্রসবের সময় দুর্ব্যবহারের কারণে মারা যায়। মায়ের গর্ভাবস্থায় মো এর বাবাও মারা যান। তিনি প্রশ্ন তোলেন যে কুসংস্কারের কারণে আর্থিক বোঝার ভয়ে শিশুকে হত্যা করা কি ধর্ম?
