Hyperbole

We use hyperbole to express our feelings. We cannot express exactly how we are feeling without hyperbole. We hear hyperbolic words and sentences like I am so tired that I could sleep one year. To express the feeling of workload, it is not enough to use only “so tired” word. How much tired? I need to sleep for one year. It is not reality. Who sleeps the whole year?? It is an overstatement. It is like coloring words. None sleeps one year. But, without hyperbole, it is not easier to communicate the level of feelings. Today I see people can see each other on social media keeping physical distance as if there’s no border and no country in this virtual world.

Imagine there’s no countries

It isn’t hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

And no religion, too

Imagine all the people

Livin’ life in peace

You

Reading together:

Imagine there’s no heaven

It’s easy if you try

No hell below us

Above us, only sky

Imagine all the people

Livin’ for today

Ah

(MK: I cannot imagine life without heaven and hell. My imagination is limited.)

Imagine there’s no countries

It isn’t hard to do

Nothing to kill, or die for

And no religion, too

Imagine all the people

Livin’ life in peace

You

(MK: I can imagine that there’s no country. The border line that divides countries does not exist today. Imagine.)

You may say I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the only one

I hope someday you’ll join us

And the world will be as one

(MK: The border line that divides countries does not exist today).

Imagine no possessions

I wonder if you can

No need for greed or hunger

(MK: what is needed. What is want)

A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people

Sharing all the world

(MK: Sharing means caring. The border line that divides countries does not exist).

You

You may say I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the only one

I hope someday you’ll join us

And the world will live as one
