সান্তিয়াগো বৃদ্ধ। সমুদ্রে মাছ ধরে বেড়ায়।  বয়স হওয়া সত্বেও তার দেহে যতেষ্ট বল রয়েছে। মাছ ধরার যতেষ্ট কৌশলও তার জানা। কিন্তু তার কপালটা খুবই খারাপ। টানা প্রায় আশি দিন সে কোনো মাছই ধরতে পারে নি। মাছ না ধরতে পাওয়ার ৪৫ দিন এর মাথায় তার সাথের ছেলেটিও ( ম্যননোলিন) আসা বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে। সান্তিয়াগোর সাথে থেকে ও কোনো মাছ ধরতে পারছে না দেখে তার বাবা মা তাকে অন্য দলের সাথে দিয়ে দিয়েছিল। যদিও ছেলেটি সান্তিয়াগোর সাথে থাকতে পছন্দ করত। এখন সান্তিয়াগো একাই মাছ ধরতে যায় সমুদ্রে।  … Continue readingThe Old Man And The Sea
